Mistral Sessions 2026 (Alcoi)

- Alcoi Campus
On 26 September, the Alcoi Campus hosted a new edition of the Mistral Sessions, the training through which the Student Council qualifies representatives from the school delegations to handle students’ teaching-related complaints.
What is Mistral?
It is the UPV procedure that allows any student to report a problem with a course, a lecturer or the organisation of their degree. It is not about sanctioning anyone, but about finding a solution. The school delegation handles the report and, if it is not resolved, the case moves forward: first to the lecturer, then to the management of the school and the department, then to the University Ombudsman and, finally, to the Rector’s Office.
What we worked on
The sessions are compulsory to become a Mistral manager, the person in each delegation who handles the reports from their school. That is why they combined a training part with a hands-on part.
The day began with a review of the regulations: which complaints can be submitted, which deadlines must be met and how the platform works, from the moment a report comes in until the resolution is communicated.
Then, in groups, participants worked through mock cases based on real ones. Each person took on the role of one of the parties involved:
- The student who submits the complaint
- The lecturer in charge
- The body responsible for the degree
- The department
This way, they went through the procedure from every angle: they analysed the documents of each case, drafted the communications and decided when a complaint should move on to the next stage.
The day ended with a round-table in which each delegation shared its questions and how it handles reports at its school.

Beyond the training, the sessions were a meeting point for delegations from different campuses. Representatives from different schools and faculties shared how each of them works, solved doubts together and strengthened the UPV student representation network.
If you are a student and have a problem with a course, a lecturer or the organisation of your degree, go to your school delegation: they will help you submit the Mistral report and support you throughout the process.
